About Us
Welcome to the official website for the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca, Michigan. We are a church of 96 energetic disciples, working together in love.
Our Mission Statement:
In obedience to and love for our Lord Jesus Christ we seek to be a diverse, caring faith family, reaching out to live God’s love in our neighborhoods, community, and the world, through our work, our activities and our lives. We value exploring life’s questions and our journeys of faith; we accept and nurture the practice of the diverse pathways our lives take, believing that God works through all things for good.
WORSHIP
We gather for lively worship Sunday mornings at 10:30. Our pastor generally follows the Revised Common Lectionary, preaching from either the Old Testament or the Gospel lesson. Children are welcome to stay in worship or to go to our Childcare room following Children’s Time. Our paid caregiver is Kirstie Miller, an education major at Mid-Michigan Community College. Communion is served the first Sunday of each month. We practice open communion, meaning that all who trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are invited to participate.
